Pick of the year

To mark my last post of the year – probably – I’ve put together a compilation of my favourite work featured on Bitique over the last year – in no particular order other than the order in which I found them in my images folder!

From the look of the mega slideshow opposite it looks like it’s been a very good year for graphic design – and here’s to another. Chin chin and a Merry Christmas!

Ee

Truly glorious work from Ee – a creative studio from Ljubljana, Slovenia. A new discovery for me and Slovenia’s first appearance on Bitique that sets a very high bar for all Slovenian studios from now on.

Bitique is 1

Well it has flashed by in an instant but Bitique is now 1 year old – as of the 18th. Many thanks to everyone who has submitted their work, recommended others and generally spread the good word of the ‘tique and make sure you keep checkin’ it out into 2010!

Qube

London studio Qube Studio have collaborated with digital artist, Simon Page, to produce a desk calendar that is original, recyclable, expresses our unique approach to design, and above all useful long-term.

The “I’m not a calendar” calendar features digital illustrations of geometric cubes, where pages are folded in such a way that they are reusable as posters or gift-wrap.

NR2154

With the Climate Conference in Copenhagen dominating the news this week I’m sure many of you will have taken notice of the identity being used at the summit. Well it was produced as part of an open competition by Copenhagen/New York deisgn studio NR2154.

There is a (much) more in depth story over at Brand New for anyone interested in some further reading and debate.
