Shrewsbury
Was resisting posting this because it has been about the town on the blogs already, but I just think it is a really striking identity. The branding, by London based studios & Smith and We All Need Words already seems to be succeeding but this will surely help raise awareness of the town and it’s higgledy piggledy nature and (equally important) how everyone feels about living there. I love the sense of individuality in the brand and the inclusion of the tudor pattern into the typography and the ‘one-off’ stamp both help add to this feeling.
No longer should the town of Shrewsbury have to explain themselves to their more established neighbours. I’d be proud to live there and wouldn’t mind visiting. Success.
