A Bunch of Fives
Our good friends at Loose Colelctive have just let us know that they have been featured in a new book by The Designers Republic™ alongside other contributors such as Adrian Shaughnessy, Erik Spiekermann, Hamish Muir, John Warwicker, Michael C. Place, Neville Brody, Paula Sher, Tony Brook, Vaughan Oliver amongst others.The book celebrates the fifth birthday of Sheffield based printer Evolution Print and also coincides with the 25th birthday of TDR™.
The brief set was “What does five mean to you?” and contributors were told to respond visually and to write 25 words to accompany the visual piece. That was it. Naturally Loose produced something Star Wars™ related, more specifically referencing Episode 5 in the series and without a doubt the best of all the films… The Empire Strikes Back™.
The accompanying 25 words were:
“Episode V — THE EMPIRE STRIKES BACK. Easily the best of the series. It’s also the one where Vader kills Mr. Bronson from television’s Grange Hill.”
