Irina Shapiro – graphic design student at St.Joost Academy, The Netherlands – along with some fellow students are organising a Dutch graphic design summer school OPEN SET. Back in October, the good people at Mash Creative donated their very nice A2 specimen posters for RM Regular. Screen printed in an edition of 50 on GF Smith purple colorplan, one of these is this week’s competition. (More)
Friendly Ben (nice name) at Herb Lester has kindly donated their latest map for Austin, Texas to this friday’s competition. It commemorates the South by South West Festival in Austin, that’s happening 9-18 March. (More)
The first friday competition is for a range of litho printed maps by Herb Lester Associates in London. Really beautiful things to have in any studio or wall. Prize includes Glasgow, London Paris and Berlin maps. (More)

Surprised to hear that Airside have closed their doors. Saw them at a Blab talk in Manchester earlier this year and the work was as inspirational as you’d expect – we wish all concerned much success in their future ventures.
Both myself and Ben are now members of Fiftytwo Network – the new social network for creative professionals – which is the handiwork of Daniel Howells of Kulor and Siteinspire fame.
