Moving Brands

The 2nd collaboration between Moving Brands and Patrick Grant of Norton & Sons has resulted in yet another beautifully observed and executed piece of branding.

I love everything about this from the gorgeous mustard yellow to the slightly off centre E. Frickin’ brilliant!

Xavier Encinas

Part 3 in my ‘favourite work of 08′ posts is the infuriatingly beautiful stationery set by Xavier Encinas.

Considered type – nice stock – beautiful print. Simple as that.

Build

Another of my favourite pieces of 2008 – the Build stationery set. Not only is Michael C. Place one of my design heroes but the Build website is always a joy to visit due to the way you can really get into the design work and see it in glorious ‘actual pixels’ size.

The restrained nature of the design and lack of any of the decorative elements (even the Build bird!) that have become Mr Place’s signature took me by surprise and, for this project, is all the better for it.

Pentagram –MAD

The branding and identity work produced by Pentagram for The Museum of Arts and Design is very high up my list of the best pieces of work I have seen this year.

I love reading anything Michael Beirut has to say. Period. The write up on the Pentagram site is an interesting drink. Period. Go check it now. Period.
