Rosie Lees

The latest project from London studio Rosie Lees is a nice playful effort for Millfields Community School.

On one stairwell Rosie Lees installed a giant scale dot-to-dot wall with thousands of dots, using round erasers on pencils dipped in paint and a numbered stamp to number every single dot! Children were asked to create images from basic geometric shapes and the best ones to accompanied a poem on the on the second stairwell.

Hort

I’m really liking the lo-fi nature of the new work – by the ever brilliant Hort – for the Nike Zoom Lebron III basketball shoe. Proper nice and reminds me of my college days ripping up paper, photographs and type then sticking them back together – although I can’t imagine it was ever done this well.

James Joyce

I’ve been spotting this lovely ad all over Manchester recently and thanks to Creative Review’s blog I found out that it is the work of the very talented James Joyce. Now I’m not a huge illustration afficiando but along with I really like the clean and deceptively simple nature of James’ work in much the same way as I like the work of Chris Gray.
