Photographer Adrian Ray has been in touch with news of a nrecently completed project for Skillfast UK. Generation F is a campaign – conceived by The Consult – to help change people’s perceptions of a career in textiles. Stage 1 was to build the letter f from hundreds of 300 x 100mm fabric panels which were then suspended midair – meaning a lot of fishing wire!

Helsinki’s Tokyo 22 have launched their own no-nonsense clothing line – Gilles et Dada – with a store already opened in Helsinki’s design district. The photo’s shown opposite are from the shoot for the new season’s collection.

I got a nice email a few days ago from Automatic Books – a small independent publishing house based in Venice. Founded earlier this year by Elena Xausa and Tankboys they publish the work of outstanding artists and designers with each book is printed in a limited and numbered edition.
