Less and More

Any Londonites with a taste for the work of Dieter Rams may well be interested to learn that an exclusive guided tour of the exhibition is being given by Design Museum director Deyan Sudjic on the 26th February.

Places are limited to just 30 lucky Rams fans at a cost of £45 per ticket which includes the tour, museum entry and the proper, proper nice 800 page catalogue which normally retails at – yes you guessed it – £45. Half of the tickets have already gone so be quick!

iPad

Now I’m as big an Apple fanboy as the next graphic designer but I have to admit to not feeling blown away – in the way I was with the iPhone and each and every new Mac – by the iPad.

True, it looks beautiful – in a big iPhone kind of way – but Apple products go deeper than aesthetics, they solve problems. We no longer need to carry around CD’s, our laptops are thinner and lighter and our personal computer’s are more user friendly, intuitive and stable but I fail to see what ‘problems the iPad solves.

Maybe it’s just me? Your thoughts please.
