Packing up & moving on is the degree show at Stockport College that is a little bit different this year. This year the students have hired a large removal van and will stop off at a number of locations in Manchester and invite designers and potential employers to get on board and wander around.

Lovely project from Andrew Gary Beardsall – a third year student at Northumbria University. The project is a box set edition of Depeche Mode’s “Sounds of the Universe”. The box contains the album, three singles, a vinyl of the album, book and poster.

Cracking project here from Lily Dunlop – a 3rd year Graphic Design student at Northumbria University.
The limited edition book – produced in collaboration with fellow Northumbria students Andy Lister, Anna Farrall, Jenni Madden and Chris Wilson – describes the life-cycle of a Giant Pacific Octopus through a symphony with the book divided into four sections reflecting the four movements; birth, development, pregnancy and death.

Another student, this time Calum Crease – a third year student of graphic design and typography at Plymouth University. I really like the look of his Astronomy 100 project. The project celebrates the 2009 Year of Astronomy with a magazine, slide projector and posters.

Third year Falmouth student Thomas Wood sent us a link to his portfolio site last week and there’s some good stuff to be seen. It seems that Thomas has spent time at Kent Lyons which must have been a great experience.
