Rosie Lees

The latest project from London studio Rosie Lees is a nice playful effort for Millfields Community School.

On one stairwell Rosie Lees installed a giant scale dot-to-dot wall with thousands of dots, using round erasers on pencils dipped in paint and a numbered stamp to number every single dot! Children were asked to create images from basic geometric shapes and the best ones to accompanied a poem on the on the second stairwell.

Pleks

What a joy it is to be introduced to a studio or designer whose work blows you away and instantly gets filed away in your mind under ‘A’ for ace!

Thanks to our good Michael over at Make I have just sampled the delights of Copenhagen’s Pleks and their stunning portfolio of work including this cracking piece of brand/type for The Danish Centre of Design Research. Proper, proper good.

999 Design

The Manchester office of 999 Design have just completed a project for Warburtons that sees the now ubiquitous CSR document taken in a different direction in a way that is not only engaging, responsible and cost effective but also very much ‘not Powerpoint’.

John Morgan Studio

I recently read a nice article in Grafik that was a discussion between the legendary Derek Birdsall and one of his former assistants John Morgan. Now running his own studio John Morgan has followed in his mentors footsteps with a brilliant portfolio of book design.
